I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. 🚨 Community Safety Alert 🚨 Just a quick warning to everyone in the area of EDGWARE ROAD - Morrison & Asda
🔹 Phone snatch incident: Last week, a resident had their phone grabbed out of their hand while walking. This happened o/s 297-303 EDGWARE ROAD, LONDON, NW9 6NB

🔹 ATM card theft: Another incident involved someone having their bank card taken at ASDA’s ATM A man approached vitim and claimed the machine wasn’t working. He pretended to “help,” saying the card was stuck and convinced the person to insert another card. While they were distracted, he took the cards. He also falsely claimed he worked for Asda’s security. Description of the male: An Indian male around 5ft1 wearing a short navy jacket and navy tracksuit bottoms as well as a baseball cap and a navy face mask with elastic that goes around ears.
Please stay alert: Do not accept help from strangers at ATMs Shield your card and PIN If someone approaches you, cancel the transaction and walk away.
